Vision
As the work of Caring Hands continues to expand
We aim to establish the following services, most of which have already
begun, in cooperation with other local agencies:
• The Lighthouse - A drop in centre which provides daily meals, shower and laundry facilities as well as a base for homeless people to receive support from agencies such as health services and homelessness outreach teams. • Street Work and outreach to the homeless • Debt Counselling and Budgeting advice to complement that provided by Rooftop Housing and Citizen’s Advice. • Networking with other community organisations to avoid duplicating services and to signpost to their provision • ICT facilities - to provide access to Internet-services such as bidding on properties, benefit applications, and finding information about support
